The year is 2032, just seven years after the Second Great Kanto Earthquake, which had destroyed much of MegaTokyo. Already, the city has made significant progress in recovering from this devastation, thanks in large part to Genom Corporation and its recent invention, the boomers. The brainchild of Dr. Katsuhito Stingray, boomers are ultra-tough humanoid AI-enhanced robots, ostensibly to be used solely in construction work. However, Genom has its own secret agenda -- to control the global economy and government with this new technology -- and with this purpose in mind, they have also manufactured combat boomers for export. With the mysterious death of Dr. Stingray, this secret was revealed to his daughter Sylia, who, outraged at the blatant misuse of her father's invention, formed the Knight Sabers to combat Genom Corporation. Cast of Characters: Sylia Stingray: Shortly after the death of her father, Sylia received a data package that was put together by him while he was still alive. In this package were details outlining his boomer research, which was input directly into Sylia's brain. After the completion of her battle armor, or hardsuit, design, she brought together the Knight Sabers to battle the evil Genom. In her spare time, she owns and runs Silky Doll, a lingerie shop. Priscilla S. Asagiri: After her boyfriend was cruelly murdered, Priss unsuccessfully sought revenge on her own. However, Sylia witnessed Priss's inner rage and believed that she would make a significant contribution to the Knight Sabers. Priss is the strongest fighter among the four, and her hardsuit packs the most firepower. Priss is also an amateur rock singer in her free time, and her band is called Priss and the Replicants. Linna Yamazaki: After failing an audition for a musical, the distraught Linna was approached by Sylia, who was quite impressed by her athleticism and excellent reflexes. Linna is by far the most athletic and technically-superior fighter among the Knight Sabers. While not fighting boomers, she also works as an aerobics instructor. Nene Romanova: When Nene easily cracked Sylia's "help wanted" computer program, she was immediately offered a place with the Knight Sabers. Not much of a fighter, Nene is in charge of communications and defensive countermeasures. For her day job, she works as an AD Police data entry clerk, and it is through her that Sylia gains access to police files. Mackie Stingray: Mackie, like his older sister Sylia, is also a technical genius. He helps develop and maintain much of the Knight Sabers' equipment. In addition, he drives the trucks and flies the Sky Carrier that transport the Knight Sabers to and from battle. Leon McNichol: Leon is an AD Police detective who also has a crush on Priss. It's too bad that Priss hates the AD Police... Daley Wong: Daley is another AD Police detective who is sometimes teamed up with Leon. He has a crush on Leon... Brian J. Mason: An overly ambitious Genom executive, Mason harbors secrets thoughts of taking over Genom. Quincy: Quincy is the chief executive officer of Genom Corporation. |
