How many times has this ever happened to you? You finished all your work and don't have any prelims to study for, but all your friends still have work to do. With a sigh, you look for something to do. Then you remember that you really like anime, but all you have in your room is a computer. Well, this probably hasn't ever happened to you, but if you ever wanted to find lots of great info and pictures for your favorite anime series, then look no further. There are plenty of fan websites dedicated to all kinds of anime. These sites (the good ones anyway) are full of great images and information on characters. Here is a site called An Extension of Gaea. The address is http://anime.mit.edu/enclave/escaflowne/. This site is filled with TONS of great Escaflowne pictures and even has a plot summary (that is, if you really want to ruin the plot for yourself). Also on this site are files for Escaflowne music (off of the soundtracks) as well as movies for the opening and closing of this great series. Already have a lot of Escaflowne stuff on your computer? How about some Neon Genesis Evangelion? Visit http://www.pmayhem.com/Nge/. Like any other fan site, you'll find a lot of good pictures, but this is a noteworthy site to check out. There is a page where the site's creator delves into the mysteries and religious ties behind the series. Of course, what's listed on the site are only his opinions, but they're interesting. So you don't want to check out the ULTRA-POPULAR anime fan pages? Well, there are many more good sites to check out. My personal favorite is at http://fly.to/GalaxyPolice/. This site is dressed up to be Galaxy Police Headquarters. Unfortunately, GP HQ is not there anymore. You have to click on [Reroute], and you'll be sent to the Yagami, which is acting as a relay station. Here, you'll find great info on each individual character from the Tenchi series, from Tenchi to the infamous Kain. All this from the perspective of the Galaxy Police. Well, obviously, there are many, many more fan sites than what I've listed, so if there's a particular anime series that you want to find stuff for, then look on the web. Here's one last address for fans of all kinds of anime genres. Visit http://serpent.org/. Wow. Wow! There are a lot of reviews at this site. Well over 50 series are covered on this site, and these aren't just dinky little reviews. This guy put a lot of effort in designing this site. You'll find anime music as well as movies and pictures for almost every series he mentions. This site is a great accomplishment. |
