At the end of episode 3 of Bubblegum Crisis, Sylia killed Mason... or so it appeared that way. As you watch tonight's episodes of BGC (5 and 6), you might question yourself on that point, as it will be hinted that the main villain, Largo, has strong ties to Mason. Even though it's mostly fan speculation as to the true identity of Largo, the current (and probably the most widely-accepted) theory is that he is actually Mason... or at least that his psyche is Mason's psyche. How could this be, you ask? Is Largo a reincarnation of Mason, like the characters from Please Save My Earth? Not exactly. You see, it is believed that while Mason was still alive, he at one time (if not more than once) transferred his personality into some sort of computer. After Sylia killed Mason at the end of episode 3, someone finished constructing Largo's superboomer body and transferred the stored Mason psyche into it. As a result, Largo is now an all-powerful egomaniac, whose apparent goal is the takeover of Genom. Other than Largo, in episode 5, we encounter two new characters, Sylvie and Anri, who befriend the Knight Sabers but hide the fact that they are actually boomers. Boomers come in all shapes and sizes, but surely, our favorites here at CJAS Newsletter Headquarters are the famed 33-S model, more affectionately known as "sexaroids." ^_- Sylvie and Anri belong to this class of boomers, and as you will see, they do in fact have some very odd needs. Episode 5 begins aboard the Generos space station, where Sylvie, Anri, and other 33-Ss are trying to escape from their captors. Episode 6 is a continuation of episode 5, which is why we are showing them in the same night. Hope you enjoy the show! [Rock on!] |
