Hey all. Please post a list of all of your favorite anime series (and if you want, maybe a sentence or two saying why you like each series). I'd really like to get a huge list of some of the greatest ones out there. Please read earlier posts though, so we don't get repeats.

When we have something semi-complete, I'd like to host this on the CJAS website. Maybe we can even do a collaborative rating and comment system to guide people in the right directions for highly regarded popular things first? Then they can take a look at the "less popular" ones to see which ones they personally appreciate.

Just to give you some ideas (in no particular order):

There's some overlap there, but not much. You have bad taste in anime!

Yeah...lots of people have different taste in anime. My list would be pretty long, so I'll maybe go through it later, but in general it seems like you're going to get a gigantic list with little to no agreement on what should be in it.

edit: Besides Cowboy Bebop. Obviously that's at the top of everyone's.

Holy crap, man. The man's name is "Miyazaki". Under Miyazaki, you should have "My Neighbor Totoro" (as opposed to 'tororo'), "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind", and "Howl's Moving Castle".

Also, it's "Gankutsuou". Officially, it's "Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo", I guess.

Fix these because you might have trouble finding them with such flagrant spelling errors. And also because bad spelling makes me want to bleed you dry.

I could have made a list of shows I think are good but not great, but that would very long... I'm probably forgetting some things I really like, but oh well.

Don't forget Paprika (and any other Satoshi Kon not yet mentioned). You should also add the Eva movies too. As for other shows not yet mentioned I would add:

Just so we stop ragging on Eric's eclectic and badly spelled list, this was the gigantic list of anime a bunch of people recommended to Eric the weekend Ned visited, and I'd been bugging him to post it up somewhere as reference because I, at least, have problems thinking up stuff to nominate and/or recommend when the time comes.

You know what would be a lot easier? A list of all the anime I've ever seen.

Granted, the site's apparently down right now, but when (if) it comes back, you should see a lot of stuff there, and I tend to be really nice in my grading.
