[CJAS Otakon] Shertaon and Hilton

Put our 3 votes for the Hilton. Penny, John, and I chatted it over and while we have no issues with floor space(Air beds FTW) a king size is HUGE and we'd rather stay at the cheaper hotel if it's no farther away.

We don't mind much either way. but our opinion is cheaper+more beds = the right way ta go.

So basically, I have an equal number of rooms at the Sheraton and at
the brand new Hilton, and I only want to handle a block at one of
those hotels (I'll cancel all the rooms at the other one).

Both hotels are connected to the convention center via skybridge (the
Hilton is on the stadium side).

The biggest difference is really that I was able to secure rooms with
2 beds at the Hilton, but all the rooms at the Sheraton have only 1
bed. The Sheraton may also end up being somewhat more expensive, maybe
by like $20 or so.

Some people reported that they didn't get charged for parking at the
Shertaon last year, but that is an anomaly, probably due to some error
at the front desk. You shouldn't bank this happening.

The Hilton is brand new and I haven't yet stayed in it, so I don't
know what the room layout, etc... will be. It is connected to the
convention via a skybridge near where registration is.

The Sheraton's 1-bed rooms are definitely a little cramped because
that one bed is King sized and takes up a lot of space.

In general, my recommendation is for the Hilton, because although no
one has ever stayed there before (since it's brand new), we have
stayed in the king bed rooms at the Sheraton before, and they haven't
been all that comfortable. However, some people have voiced a
preference for the Sheraton, so I'd like to take some feedback before
making a final decision.

Thanks!

won't work, he'll book rooms for the Hilton. Please give your feedback!
