In the mid 22nd century, mankind has branched out across the galaxy. To deal with criminal acts such as piracy, terrorism, espionage, and the like, a corporation called the WWWA was founded. If you have a problem, and enough money, the 3WA will send out a team of trouble consultants to take care of your problem for you. The 3WA's best team (and also its worst) is Kei (the hot-headed redhead) and Yuri (the intelligent brunette) -- the Lovely Angels. At least, that is their official code name. Across the galaxy because of their reputation, they are better known as the Dirty Pair. For although Kei and Yuri always solve the problem they are assigned to, they also manage to bring about a lot of collateral damage (lots and LOTS of collateral damage). But no matter what happens, it is "never their fault."

One of the best known of the "girls with guns" genre of anime, the Dirty Pair series is an action/espionage series based on the style of James Bond movies. The Pair have appeared in TV series, the Project Eden movie, and a series of OAVs.
