Here's a quick recap of the Griffon TV episodes. Shaft Enterprises, a labor company, hires Utsumi to create the perfect anthropomorphic labor. He builds the Griffon. It is faster and more agile than any labor before it. The only problem is that the Griffon needs an operating system. He decides to use the Ingram's OS. The Ingram's Asura OS is special because it actually learns over time. The only problem with this plan is that he has to actually steal it out of the Ingram. Using the Griffon and its talented but fairly annoying pilot, Bado, Utsumi attempts to rip the OS out of Noa's Ingram. After a long fight which leaves both labors of the SV2 as well as the Griffon crippled, the Griffon attempts to flee but crashes into Tokyo Bay and "explodes" before any wreckage can be recovered.

Now the Griffon OVAs...

The First Unit of SV2 has received new labors called the "Peacemaker." The Peacemaker is quicker and stronger than the Ingram because of its new OS, the Neuron Network System. However, this system has a major drawback... Elsewhere, Utsumi has repaired and improved the Griffon and is about to display it to a group of weapon and labor developers. The Griffon's debut will be versus the SV2's new Peacemakers. Keeping the Second Unit busy with a staged fire, Utsumi sends the Griffon on its way, and as the First Unit heads out, the Griffon rises from its watery "grave."

Characters:

Izumi, Noa - The really giddy redhead who drives/pilots the first car (labor). While not blessed with great physical skills, her courage and compassion more than suffice. She is the only one to has defeated the Griffon in combat.

Shinohara, Asuma - The forward for the first car. He is Noa's immediate superior and best friend. He is the son of the president of Shinohara Industries, the company that makes the Ingram AV-98.

Ohta - The pilot of the second car. He is wild, uncontrollable, and hot-tempered. He has a jumpy trigger finger which always seems to get him in trouble. The last time SV2 fought the Griffon, his labor was totally destroyed.

Kumagami - The forward for the second car. She is calm and level-headed and is one of the few people who can control Ohta.

Hiromi - The driver of the labor carrier for the first car. He's a big guy but really quiet. He grows great tomatoes.

Shinshi - The driver of the second labor carrier. Normally a quiet guy, he has been know to go into rages that even scare Ohta.

Goto - The chief of the Second Unit. He's really cool. He's kind of like Yotsuya; no one really knows anything about him except that his head itches when there's about to be trouble.

Clancy, Kanuka - The greatest!!! Anyway, she's a sergeant in the NYPD and a former member of the Second Unit. She is intelligent, capable, and well-versed in many forms of martial arts, from Aikido to Kendo, making her the best labor pilot the SV2 has. Oh, she's cute too...
