Michael was born in Taiwan, proud child of James Lu and Amy Lee.   Perhaps because Michael was so wonderful, they soon decided to add two more child to the Lu family - Alice and Scott. 

Michael attended Kung-Fu (Liberation) elementary school when he was six.  Upon his graduation from elementary school, Michael's family (except dad) immigrated to the United States.  After some moving around, they set up shop in Schaumburg, IL where Michael attended Eisenhower Junior High School. 

Of course, Michael did not know how to speak English at the time so he was put in a special ESL program where he met many wonderful friends and learned how to speak English.  Oh yeah, this is where Michael had the first crush on girls.  -( :

Michael then attended James B. Conant High School for the next four years.  There are, with out a doubt, other wonderful schools but this one was special.  Here, Michael met many excellent teachers who gave him more than just a solid education - They gave him confidence.    For that, Michael will be forever grateful.

Michael graduated at the top of his class and then moved onto Cornell University at Ithaca, NY.   There, he studied Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.   With lots of hard work and a ton of AP credits, Michael finished college in 3 years and graduated in 1995.  He went on to a graduate degree program in Project Management within Cornell and completed it in a year and a half. 

Upon graduation, Michael entered Citibank under its Management Associate program and left the company at the summer of 2000 to help out with his family business (Jinn Lighting).

Start September 2001 and over the course of the next 16 months, Michael traveled the world and tried as best as he could to experience the world as it should be - with his own eyes. 

Now, he is working hard in his family business and having a good time.
