While on my way to Nepal, my flight had to make a stop over
in Bangladesh. Having no plans to visit the country, I knew next to
nothing about this land or its capital city, Dhaka. As the fortune
would have it, the stop over turned into something much longer than I had
expected due to mechanical problems with the aircraft. So, I set out
to explore the foreign city that I had accidentally find myself in.
And what I found was warm hospitality from people that I have never met
before and a strong desire to return to this place.

City of Mixed Identity
The part of the city I visited was called "Model Town." However, even in this part of the city, pavoerty is not hard to find. |

Children of Dhaka
As I walked down the streets, I was greeted by cheerful kids who were as interested in me as I was in them. |

Street of Dhaka
It is hard to describe how one is to feel about this town. You see highrises mixed in with unpaved mud roads. Somehow things just seem... half done. |

Cricket Game
I was invited to play a game of cricket with a group of college kids. Not knowing the rules do make me an easy "kill." |

Photos?
It seems that everyone loves to have their photo taken. As I walked past a Standard & Charter branch, all the security guards came after me for a chance to have their photo taken. |

I'll Be Back
Though my stay was short but I leave Dhaka with nice memories and someday, I'll be back! |
