My Travel in Cambodia (Pictures from 2001-11-30 to
2001-12-06)
Whenever I think of Cambodia, images from the movie "The Killing Fields"
come to mind. Could things really have been that bad? Has the
world really turned its back to the suffering of these people as to allow
two million men, women and children to perish without a word?
As I toured the grounds of one of the many Killing Fields, the answer
became apparent. Just like that, we allowed this atrocity to happen.
Just like that, we conveniently ignored the suffering of others. And
the worst part is, we still chose to ignore the pain of our fellow men
today. Many atrocity are still being committed all over the world and
we do nothing to stop it. I feel ashamed, as an
American and as a men.
