My Travel in Thailand (Pictures from 2001-11-05 to 2001-11-11)

Thailand is a land of rich history and tradition.  Although I have only been here a short time, I have made many friends and are addicted to its exciting cuisines.  I can't wait to find out what tomorrow holds for me!

Jonathan

The first friend I made in Thailand! He has a wealth of information. Thanks to him, I was able to navigate the city on my first day. Thanks!

Wat Pao

The temples are incrediable!

My Tour Guide in Wat Pao

Chatri is stuyding at a local university and is volunteering as a tour guide at Wat Pao. He is really good!

Receiving Blessing

Michael received blessing at Wat Pao

King's Palace

It is beautiful. Words can hardly describe the palace.

Thammasat Ladies

As I was wondering around, I met several college students from Tammasat University. They are so friendly to me. ( : From left to right - Nui, Nui, Michael, Tam and Beau.

Thammasat Ladies

There they are again. ( :

Dinner with New Found Friends

The ladies introduced me to the wonderful (and dangerously exciting) Thai cuisine. I think I am addicticed! From left to right - Nui, Nui-Kitty, G, Michael, Yim, and Tam.

Snake Farm

I look brave don't I?

Thammasat Ladies

We met again the next day for lunch. Afterwards, they took me to Wat Pao for Traiditional Tahi Massage. It was great! Thanks girls!

Of Cat and Dog

Floating Market

Though not Venice, it is a lot of fun sitting on a boat and have people selling stuff.

Soooo Sweet...

No, those are things flying around are not flies but bees. Now you have an idea how sweet the candies next to the cook are.

Nakhon Pathom

Phra Pathom Chedi is the tallest Buddhist monument in the world. The market around it is also lots of fun.

Menu from Your Nightmare?

Birds, grasshoppers, and bugs that I can't even identify. Perfect menu for scaring your sister.

So I Ate One...

Feeling a bit adventurous, I tried a grasshopper... Ladies, you are not going to refuse to kiss now are you?

Thai Boxing

It is an amazing sport and definitely worth watching!

Champion Vs. Champion

Yes, I won a Thai Boxing match... NOT! ( :

Elephant on the Street

Here, they have elephants walking around at night where people can take pictures with and for 20B you get to feed the animal. I feel a sorry for the big guy though. He has to navigate the terrible traffic in Bangkok...

Traditional Thai Dance

Very expressive art and extremely entertaining. Too bad I don't understand Thai

The Dark Side of Thailand

This street is catered specifically to Japanese man... The next over is for other foreigners and the next over for gays and lesbians... Sigh...

Tuktuk

I just have to say this "avoid it if you can, a taxi is a much better value."

Chatuchak Market

Nui looks so cute doesn't she?

Now All Together...

We ate dinner at side street vendor next to the girls' apartments. And the food was delicious!! Thank you G for a wonderful day at Chatuchak Market
