Be very careful where you stay.  Always lift up the bed sheet to check for signs of blood.  It could be indication of bed lice.  And let me tell you, it isn't fun to sleep on a bed infected with bed lice.  These little suckers are vicious.  I had over 30 bites in one night alone.

With the exception of Singapore, Malaysia is much stronger economically than rest of the South-East Asia and, in general, enjoys a higher standard of living. 

Malaysia is made up 60% Malay, 30% Chinese and 10% Indian.  Integration isn't as complete as Thailand.  In fact, most ethnic group remains somewhat segregated.
